Please tell me the correct way to bathe in a hot spring.

Even a wonderful hot spring can be detrimental to your health if not used (bathed in) correctly.
Let's use the correct bathing method to help maintain health with hot springs.
Next, we will explain the key points of bathing in a hot spring.
Key Points for Bathing in a Hot Spring
- 1. Pour plenty of water over yourself before bathing
- Suddenly entering hot water can be a strong stimulus to the body and put a heavy burden on the circulatory system.
Before entering the hot spring, pour plenty of water over yourself to acclimate your body to the water.
Start pouring water from your feet, then your waist, shoulders, and chest, in order from the farthest point from your heart, and finally pour water over your head to prevent cerebral anemia. - 2. Start with a half-body bath
- Instead of immersing your entire body in the water at once, start with a "half-body bath" where you immerse yourself from the waist down to avoid sudden stress on the body from temperature and water pressure, and gradually immerse your entire body in the bath.
- 3. Keep bathing time and frequency moderate
- The guideline for bathing time is until your forehead starts to sweat. Long baths that make you sweat all over are not desirable.
Also, entering the hot spring many times a day can cause "hot spring fatigue," so limit the number of baths to about three times a day. - 4. Take breaks during long baths
- If you want to take a long bath, do not stay in the water continuously. Take breaks by sitting on the edge of the bathtub or getting out of the bath to rest in the washing area.
- 5. Light exercise in the water
- After soaking in the hot spring for a while, your muscles and joints will become more flexible, so do light exercises such as moving your arms and legs in the water.
- 6. Do not wash off the hot spring minerals
- Washing off the hot spring minerals with rinsing water will diminish the effects of the hot spring. After getting out of the water, dry yourself with a towel without rinsing. However, some hot springs may require rinsing.
- 7. Rehydrate after bathing
- During bathing, you lose body fluids through sweating. Rehydrate after bathing.
- 8. Rest for a while after bathing
- Bathing can be quite a burden on the body. Blood pressure and heart rate fluctuate, so rest for a while until your body calms down. Also, be careful not to catch a chill during this time.
